How to install Genealogy Assistant

Installing the browser extension and setting up a free 10-day trial

1. Visit the following links to install Genealogy Assistant for your browser of choice:
   • Install Genealogy Assistant for Google Chrome
   • Install Genealogy Assistant for Mozilla Firefox
   • Install Genealogy Assistant for Microsoft Edge
2. Follow the prompts in your browsers extensions store to install Genealogy Assistant.
3. Once the extension is installed, a new Welcome to Genealogy Assistant page will open automatically. This page provides an overview of Genealogy Assistant’s features and includes a helpful video walkthrough.
4. Locate the puzzle piece icon in your browsers toolbar (to the right of the web address bar). Click it, then find Genealogy Assistant in the list and click the pin icon. This will ensure that the Genealogy Assistant icon remains visible in your toolbar for easy access.
5. Click the Genealogy Assistant icon in your browsers toolbar. A popup will appear prompting you to enter your email address. Type your email in the entry box and then click Start Trial.
6. Check your email inbox for a confirmation message from Genealogy Assistant. Click the confirmation link inside the email to activate your free 10-day trial. If you don’t immediately receive the email, check your spam or junk folder.
7. Once your trial is activated, all features of Genealogy Assistant will instantly start working. Click the Genealogy Assistant icon in your browsers toolbar to edit settings and upgrade to the paid version.
