ScotlandsPeople search results are paginated with small links at the bottom of the page, so working through a long set of results means a lot of mouse travel. ScotlandsPeople Keyboard Navigation lets you flip through pages of results using just the left and right arrow keys.
How does ScotlandsPeople Keyboard Navigation work?
On any ScotlandsPeople search results page, pressing the left or right arrow key clicks the previous or next page link in the pagination, taking you to the next page of results. A short hint is added below the pagination so you know the shortcut is available. The arrow keys are ignored while you are typing into a text field so they don’t interfere with the search form.
How do I use ScotlandsPeople Keyboard Navigation?
- Ensure ScotlandsPeople Keyboard Navigation is enabled in the Genealogy Assistant pop-up panel.
- Run any search on ScotlandsPeople and view the results page.
- Press the
LeftorRightarrow key anywhere on the page to move to the previous or next page of results.
