Add Select All Link When Saving to Tree

What problem does Add Select All Link When Saving to Tree solve?

When you save a record to your Ancestry tree, each person attached to the record has to be ticked individually before the save will pull them in. For a large household that means a lot of repetitive clicking. Add Select All Link When Saving to Tree adds a single link that selects or deselects every person on the page at once.

How does Add Select All Link When Saving to Tree work?

On the Save to Tree page, a new link titled Select all people on page is added in place of the default help link at the top of the people list. Clicking it selects every person checkbox on the page in a single action and changes the link to Deselect all people on page. Only the people are selected. Fact checkboxes are left alone so you don’t overwrite verified information in your tree. Any people you had already selected manually stay selected when you later deselect everything, so you never lose your original picks.

How do I use Add Select All Link When Saving to Tree?
  • Ensure Add Select All Link When Saving to Tree is enabled in the Genealogy Assistant pop-up panel.
  • Click Save to Tree on any Ancestry record and pick a tree. The Save to Tree page will open.
  • Click Select all people on page at the top of the people list to tick every person. Click it again to deselect them.
