How to remove and re-add Genealogy Assistant

A step-by-step guide to reinstall our browser extension.

1. Visit the extension store for your browser by selecting it below:
   • Genealogy Assistant for Google Chrome
   • Genealogy Assistant for Mozilla Firefox
   • Genealogy Assistant for Microsoft Edge
2. Click the “Remove” button to remove the extension and confirm removal when prompted.
3. You can now immediately reinstall Genealogy Assistant by clicking the “Add” button and confirm adding when prompted.
4. Locate the puzzle piece icon in your browsers toolbar (to the right of the web address bar). Click it, then find Genealogy Assistant in the list and click the pin icon. This will ensure that the Genealogy Assistant icon remains visible in your toolbar for easy access.
5. Click the Genealogy Assistant icon in your browsers toolbar. A popup will appear prompting you to enter your email address. If you currently have a free trial, enter your email here. To log-in to your paid subscription, click the link titled “Already paid? Log in” and enter your email address.
6. Check your email inbox for a confirmation message from Genealogy Assistant. Click the confirmation link inside to log-in to your account. If you don’t immediately receive the email, check your spam or junk folder.
7. Once you click the activation link, you will receive confirmation that the extension has been activated. All features of Genealogy Assistant will immediately start working.
