This guide moves a monthly or yearly subscription to the lifetime plan. A subscription can’t be converted directly. Instead, you cancel it, let the time you have already paid for run out, and then buy the lifetime plan with the same email address.
Cancelling does not cut off your access. Your subscription keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for, so you never pay twice for the same time.
