What problem does Add Keyboard Shortcuts to Matches List solve?
Working through your AncestryDNA matches list is a long sequence of the same small actions. For every match you want to triage you open the small menu beside the match, wait for the callout, and click through to the note, relationship, or groups panel. That is fine for one match. It is slow when you are sorting through fifty. Add Keyboard Shortcuts to Matches List maps the three most common actions to a single letter so you can move through the list without reaching for the mouse.
How does Add Keyboard Shortcuts to Matches List work?
On your Ancestry DNA matches list, hover over any match and press N, R, or G on your keyboard to instantly open the Add/Edit Note, Relationship, or Groups dialog for that match. The same sidebar opens that Ancestry shows when you click through the menu manually, so editing notes, relationships, and groups behaves exactly as it always has. A short reminder of the available keys is shown at the top of the matches list so you do not need to memorize them. Pressing Esc while a sidebar is open closes it.
