Always Display 50 Shared Matches

What problem does Always Display 50 Shared Matches solve?

On a shared matches page, Ancestry shows 25 shared matches per page by default, which doubles the number of pages you have to click through and halves the efficiency of every other feature that works on the list. Always Display 50 Shared Matches raises the page size to 50 so you are always looking at twice as many shared matches at once.

How does Always Display 50 Shared Matches work?

Whenever you open a match’s shared matches page, the page size is automatically set to 50 shared matches. Every subsequent page also shows 50, so anything you do to the list (highlighting, selecting, sorting, downloading) covers twice as much ground per page.

How do I use Always Display 50 Shared Matches?
  • Ensure Always Display 50 Shared Matches is enabled in the Genealogy Assistant pop-up panel.
  • Open any match’s shared matches page. Every page will show 50 shared matches instead of 25.
